Welcome
Scorecard Consulting Inc. helps Wal-Mart suppliers complete their sustainability scorecard.
Wal-Mart Stores, Bentonville, Arkansas, wants to reduce packaging across its’ global supply chain by 2010. In order to achieve this goal, they have asked their suppliers to complete a packaging scorecard. The packaging scorecard will enable Wal-Mart to measure and recognize its entire supply chain based upon each company’s ability to use less packaging, use more effective materials in packaging, and source these materials more efficiently. Each SKU will require a scorecard. Wal-Mart has made it very clear, that you must have your scorecards entered by February 1, 2008. According to Amy Zettlemoyer, Wal-Mart Director of Packaging, Sam’s Club, if it is not completed by the deadline suppliers “may not be eligible” to be considered! Only a small percentage of SKUs have been entered so far and the system will not be able to handle the increased traffic should you wait until the last minute. This will not be an excuse to miss the deadline.
The questions on the scorecard are extremely confusing and it is difficult to get answers when you need them, so let us do the work for you! Not only can we help you complete your scorecard, we have package modeling software that allows “what if” scorecard scenarios. We can manipulate variables and gauge their impact on your score, as well as provide you reports detailing whether these changes can improve your score. The best thing about the software is that we can provide you an actual score. When entering the scores yourself, you will only see how you rank among similar products. |
